This page explains how UnfollowKit handles account, scan, billing, and technical information. The core scan flow does not ask for or store your TikTok password, and the relationship data displayed and compared by UnfollowKit comes from publicly available internet data.

Our privacy commitment
UnfollowKit is designed to collect only the information needed to run public-profile scans, user accounts, billing, reliability checks, and support. We do not sell scan results, and we do not use private TikTok credentials to access your account.
- UnfollowKit does not ask for, collect, or store your TikTok password.
- UnfollowKit does not require a TikTok data export upload for the scan flow.
- Displayed usernames, profile fields, follower relationships, and following relationships are based on public TikTok data that is available on the internet.
Data we do not collect
The scan product is not a TikTok login proxy and is not designed to copy private account material. Some paid or dashboard features require an UnfollowKit account, but that account is separate from your TikTok credentials.
- TikTok passwords, TikTok login credentials, and TikTok session cookies.
- Private TikTok messages, drafts, unpublished content, or other private account content outside the follower and following lists the user explicitly asks the extension to review.
- A full export of your TikTok account data.
- Browsing history, including pages visited during the optional extension workflow.
Public TikTok scan data
When you enter a public TikTok username, UnfollowKit may process public profile identifiers, public usernames, public avatars, follower counts, following counts, and publicly visible follower or following relationships. Free scans use a sample, while verified scans check a larger available relationship set according to plan limits.
- Private TikTok accounts cannot be scanned because their relationship lists are not public.
- Scan accuracy depends on public data availability, TikTok interface changes, account size, and plan limits.
- Historical lost-follower comparisons require stored UnfollowKit scan snapshots from earlier scans.
Account, billing, and usage data
If you sign in or buy a verified scan, UnfollowKit may store account identifiers such as email address, display name, avatar, plan, quota, checkout status, scan IDs, scan status, high-level counts, and support history. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored directly by UnfollowKit.
- Google sign-in may provide basic account information used for authentication.
- Stripe processes checkout, subscriptions, invoices, and payment method details.
- Scan usage records help enforce quotas, show dashboard history, and troubleshoot reliability issues.
Cookies, analytics, and diagnostics
UnfollowKit uses first-party cookies or similar storage to keep you signed in, assign an anonymous browser identifier, and protect account sessions. Page and interaction events may be sent to analytics providers. Server-side acquisition records store salted hashes of IP address and user agent rather than their raw values, plus referrer and campaign parameters. Analytics events do not include TikTok SecUIDs, email addresses, or relationship rows.
Extension workflow
The optional Chrome extension is an independent, local-only tool that runs only while the user is signed in to TikTok in the browser. It reads the follower and following lists, profile identifiers, and relationship data visible in the active TikTok tab to provide relationship analysis. After the user selects accounts and explicitly confirms a cleanup run, it can operate TikTok's unfollow controls at a paced rate with a session cap and Stop control. The extension does not read UnfollowKit website scan results, sync extension data with UnfollowKit servers, or collect TikTok passwords or session cookies.
- Relationship snapshots, profile identifiers, whitelist, settings, unfollower history, and cleanup history are stored locally in Chrome's extension storage on the user's device.
- Extension data is used only for relationship review, local comparisons, and user-confirmed cleanup.
- Extension data is not sold or transferred to third parties and is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, or unrelated purposes.
Retention and deletion
Anonymous scans and their details are retained for 3 days. Signed-in scan summaries are normally retained for up to 365 days; relationship details and follower activity events are normally retained for 30 days. The latest verified baseline, including its summary and relationship details, may be kept longer so later comparisons remain accurate. Server analytics are retained for up to 180 days, quota usage for 35 days, and billing audit records for up to 730 days. You can contact support about account-linked data where applicable.
